To install custom car doors yourself, here are some easy steps:
- Roll down all the windows.
- Remove the screws holding the car panel. The screws are usually found in the corners, going around the window handle, and in places where something is mounted on the door. You can save older car screws. Newer cars come with clips that can only be used once. When buying new screws, don’t forget to bring the old ones to compare.
- Remove everything that is mounted on the panel of the old car. Once everything is removed, now is the time to remove the panel from the old car. When removing the old door, be careful not to damage the assembly.
- Once the old car door is out, now is the time to install your new custom car doors. Before fixing the doors, make sure it is in the correct position. There should be no bulging anywhere on the door. If you have to force the door into place, the angle may not be right.
- Be careful when installing custom car doors because they can break easily.
