It seems birthdays get all the attention when it comes to silly party games. Why should Christmas be left out? Everyone wants to have more fun at Christmas and it is the perfect time to play silly games. Why not play a fun Santa beard game with your friends and family?

To get started, you need a cardboard cutout of Santa Claus. You can buy one at a party store, dollar store, or gift shop. It can be big or small, but it should only show Santa’s face. If you can’t find one at a local store, educational and teacher supply stores may have just the trim you need for your Santa beard game. When you bring the face home, cut off Santa’s beard. After all, why would you need to give Santa a beard if he already has one? Discard the old beard or tape it to the decoration later if you want to reuse it for another reason.

Create some different beards for Santa Claus out of various materials. Cut out a Santa’s beard from thick white construction paper. Make a beard out of a flat foam sheet with an adhesive backing so you can remove the panel just before use. He crumples white paper every day from his desk into a beard for Santa. Use a giant cotton sheet or several cotton balls to create Santa’s beard. You need enough beards for each player to have one. For example, if you have 7 players, you need 7 beards.

Pin the beard on Santa

Pin Santa’s Beard is played in the same way as the classic Pin the Donkey’s Tail game. Blindfold the player, spin him around, and then have him try to attach the beard to Santa Claus. Self-adhesive foam beards work well because they don’t move around after you attach them to Santa’s face. The blindfolded player can’t change his mind, so the beard is stuck exactly where he put it the first time!

Santa Claus is trapped in many ways

You can play several variations of this simple Santa Claus game. If you buy a full-size Santa cutout, you can play put on Santa’s hat, put on Santa’s boots, or even put a red button on Santa’s nose. Even if you can’t find a cutout of Santa’s face, you can play put on Santa’s boots!

Santa Claus games for adults

Adults also like games. Consider an adult version of the game, such as putting hair on Santa’s chest. Create your own cutout of Santa Claus complete with his suit unbuttoned to reveal his chest. You have never seen Santa Claus so macho before! Create chest hair with yarn, wool, or faux fur. Attach double stick tape or stickers to the back of the chest hair so players can pin it on Santa like his beard or boots.

Make sure you have prizes for the winner to make the game even more fun. You can offer the Santa Claus cutout to the winner along with a gift bag filled with candy, pencils, and other small Christmas gifts.
