A private investigator job in real life is not as easy as you think!

Private investigators offer numerous services, in a host of areas, such as star and corporate security, pre-employment screening; subject to background search of perceived value. These are just the tip of the iceberg of what they do! They can also conduct investigations on crimes committed from the computer, such as illegal downloads, copyrighted materials, and many others.

An alternate field they get into is finding missing persons or finding the biological parents of adopted children, child custody and refugee cases. Sometimes they are hired to prove if a spouse has committed an infidelity, which is the majority of the cases that private investigators are hired for.

Tasks that a real private investigator does

Private investigators are trained to do surveillance. This is a basic skill that they must have. Most of the time, they are required to observe a place or person from a well-protected or hidden location, such as a car or sometimes bushes or trees. To do this type of private investigation work, they need special equipment such as binoculars, cameras, or still cameras. All of these are used to obtain the necessary evidence for the job for which they were hired.

They must also know how to use computers to store collected evidence in databases so that this information can be organized and retrieved later.

By taking on private investigation jobs, the private investigator is only answerable to his consumers for whom he is doing all the investigative work. All information collected during assignments is only presented to your client or your contractor.

Private investigators tend to specialize in specific fields. There are three main types: economic, corporate and legal work. To become a specialist in this grass, you have to study and focus all your energy on just this grass.
