Georgian dollhouses are the most common form of wooden dollhouses and the ones you will come across the most. They are popular because they are large and attractive. The Georgian period was highly influenced by classical architecture and is often called the neoclassical style. There were three main themes: Greece and Rome, Terraces and Town Houses, Palladianism and Country Houses.

Tudor dollhouses

Tudor wooden dollhouses are absolutely wonderful display pieces. They are very attractive from the outside and reproduce real Tudor houses very well. Tudor dollhouses are definitely for collectors.

The image of a Tudor house is that of a white building clad in black beams. The roof would be covered with thatch, tiles, or slate. Inside the houses they would have wood paneled walls that were sometimes arranged in decorative patterns. The ceilings would be made of exposed wood or, sometimes, the beams would be hidden with plaster.
