When the WoTLK expansion was introduced to World of Warcraft, a new character was added to the classes known as the Death Knight. The DK was the only new character to be introduced to the game since 2004, when World of Warcraft was first released. There was a lot of hype around the new character at the time with what seemed like a good option for players who like to throw or melee.

Since then and now, the Death Knight has undergone some changes with the aim of improving the specification of the Death Knight. Initially, the DK was over-equipped and players claimed that the DK was the most powerful class by far. With a Ghoul and Gargoyle as pets, heavy plate armor, and the ability to equip most weapons, it’s clear why the Death Knight was able to slice through enemies like butter.

After about Season 5, the Death Knight began to undergo some talent and spec changes and his power was reduced in this way. It was a chaotic few months for the DK with gradual changes taking place constantly to lower the specs of the Death Knights.

Initially there were also caps on the realms that limited the availability of the DK, but now all caps have been removed and anyone can enjoy playing this great class.

Flash forward a few years and the DK is now a popular class to play and brings a different angle to the game like getting their power from runic power, other classes in WoW get their powers from energy, mana or rage and the DK is the first class (probably not the last) to use this new form of power.

The Death Knight also differs slightly in the fact that they are unplayable from the very beginning of the game! A player must reach the level 55 cap before the DK becomes available, once the DK identity is taken, the player will start their new journey at level 55.

Although the bonuses are lost, this isn’t much of a concern, as the DK can soon start stacking skills and talents as soon as he starts his game in the Ebon Hold area.

Death Knights are well suited to players who like to play melee damage classes and throwing classes, though DKs are quite flexible due to their sturdy build and armor and even have the ability to heal themselves. themselves, making them a great combination for both PvE and PvP scenarios.
