The latest review of eBooks Reader for Kindle and iPad has put the screen of the devices under your scrutiny. The Kindle was measured to have a six-inch E-ink screen measured diagonally. The Kindle DX is slightly larger at nine point seven inches. However, the two designs do not support a multi-touch function or a touch screen. Apple’s iPad has the same screen size as the Kindle DX, which is LED-backlit (IPS). But it does have a touchscreen feature, which is absent from Kindle products.

The weight of the Kindle was measured at ten point two ounces while the DX was eighteen point nine ounces. Both have a thirty-six inch point thickness. Other features include a switch, navigation buttons, keyboard, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Apple iPad weighs twenty-four ounces or one and a half pounds. It is 0.5 inches thick and has a volume rocker, a home button, and a slider switch to lock the screen. The headphone jack is the same size as those on Kindle products.

Both Amazon Kindle designs featured in the Device E-Book Reader of the Year Review are capable of subscribing to newspapers and magazines thanks to a basic 3G PDF reader app and web browser. The Apple iPad proved to have much more due to the addition of the Safari browser, email, iTunes, games, media player and other similar applications, which are useful for the users of the device.

That should help you with a quick comparison of the difference between the Amazon Kindle, Kindle DX, and Apple’s upcoming iPad.
