Drainage pipes start from the first manhole or manhole to the septic tank or sewer system. After laying the pipes, before using the drains, they must be tested. Each section between the manholes must be tested. It is desirable that this be done at least twelve hours after joining the last pipe. There are several methods to check the system. Testing of drain pipes after laying begins with the following method. First, the lower end of the pipe and all joints are securely locked. The entire length is then filled with water. After filling with water, a plug is inserted at the top leaving a tube connected with a drain plug. This tube is bent at ninety degrees and ends in a raised tank. The vertical lifting distance must be at least one meter. This will give gravity flow.

When testing the drain pipes, water is poured into the header tank. This one stays full for at least three hours. Allow absorption to occur. After this time, the tank is filled and the tests begin. After a thirty minute period has elapsed, check the water level in the tank. The water level in the header tank should not have dropped. If it has dropped a few millimeters, the test is satisfactory. Give it an hour and check the levels.

After testing the drain pipes and they fail the test, check the leak point. It is important to note that the tests are performed on pipes laid in trenches but not covered. Then the vanishing point is noted and fixed. This is done using a strong concrete surround with fine aggregates. A minimum coverage of one hundred and fifty millimeters is carried out. The tests are then run again and confirmed. After passing the test, backfilling of the trenches is carried out.
