The V Tech camera is much more than just a digital camera for children. I am very happy with my purchase. It turned out to be one of the best purchases of last Christmas. In this article, I’ll provide some of the reasons my kids love their V Tech camera. I’ve done a lot of research on what kind of camera to buy and I’m happy to say I think I picked the right one.

The camera buttons are large and easy for little fingers to use and the screen where you can see what photo you’re about to take (whether it’s a pair of feet or mom first thing in the morning) is a good size. It’s easy for them to hold on with the large rubber sides. Ours have been dropped numerous times but are still as good as the day we bought them.

The editing features of the V Tech camera are fantastic: you can edit an image (usually a photo of mom or dad) to have a pair of elephant ears, some mustaches, a dinosaur hovering above them ready to gobble them up, have a crocodile face and much more. You can also add a nice border around your image. You can even add special effects to your image and make it wobble.

It also has games you can play (great for a car ride) like tic tac toe (beach style), match up, and you can even juggle a picture on puzzle pieces and put them back together.

The usb connection that comes with the V Tech camera makes it very easy for you to upload your images to your PC (guys love to look at them on the computer). It also includes connections that allow you to view your images on the TV!

It’s great to take a look at what your kids have photographed at the end of the day. When Sam first got his, he was only 3 years old and would take a picture of what was on the TV (usually Dora), our feet, his brother sleeping, etc. Now he has progressed and we are no longer obsessed with feet. He thinks it’s funny taking pictures of mom first thing in the morning, not a pretty sight (surely his dad has influenced him!).

My children are very proud when we go out and they can take photos like mom. We all know that when you’re little you want to grow up fast and be more like mom and dad (although when you get there you’ll want to be little again).

I would say the V Tech camera would be a great buy for kids ages 2-7.
