As believers, we engage in spiritual warfare on a daily basis, and the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but spiritual. This battle is already assured in our name when Christ died on the cross of Calvary and gave us the key of life and death. However, believers are expected to use some spiritual weapons to ensure the complete annihilation of the enemy.

What are these weapons?

• The word of god

The word of God is a powerful weapon against the power of the devil. When temptation comes our way, a sure weapon that can neutralize the enemy’s sting is the infallible word of God. As we activate his awesome power, the bonds of the wicked are forever broken. God’s word is compared to a sword that can be used to cut every enemy force to pieces. Jesus Christ, according to the Scriptures, used the pure word of God to overcome the temptation of the Devil.

• The blood of jesus

The blood of Jesus Christ is the most powerful weapon against the enemy. In the book of Revelation 12:11: “they overcame him with the blood of the lamp and the words of their testimony” By sprinkling the blood of Jesus, the forces of evil begin to disappear. The blood is more powerful than that of the bull and other sacrificial animals. It can be used whenever we want protection instead of spiritual warfare.

• The name of jesus

The name of Jesus is a strong tower to which the righteous run and are saved. The Bible tells us in Philippians 2: 9-11 that God has exalted Jesus and given him a name that is above any other name. At the mention of his name, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord. Its name is a strong tower where the righteous run and are saved from the attack of the enemy. The agents of darkness hate hearing the name, because it carries awesome anointing and powers.

• Praise and adore

As you praise and worship God, the demons will begin to tremble. The prison doors are opened and every demonic chain of oppression is broken every time we activate the power inherent in his name. When King Jehoshaphat faced threats from enemy nations, God commanded him to appoint praise singers and deploy the instrument of praise and worship. On the day of the battle, Jehoshaphat and his people stayed behind as the praise singers went before them singing praises to God.

While singing worship songs, the lord ambushed the enemy nations and they began to destroy themselves. They were totally annihilated through the instrument of praise and worship. When the enemy comes like a flood against us, all we have to do is raise the position of praise and worship, and every storm will cease.
